Vital Joint is proud to host Bladder Interrupted, which premiered in July at the Kansas City Fringe Festival.
Mechele Leon wrote and performs in this irreverent comedy about finding cancer, losing a bladder, and living life without the “tank.”
Theresa Buchheister has collaborated with Mechele on the project for almost a year, primarily in a directorial role.
10% of artist proceeds will go to The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (bcan.org)

Mechele was a professor of great import to me and now I have known her for close to 20 years. I still have the tests from her classes because I was so proud of the work that I did. Deep. It is an honor and pleasure to get to work with her on a theatre piece as an adult.
