JULIA EDWARDS is a poet/writer living in Brooklyn. Her work has appeared in Brooklyn Magazine, Fusion, Across The Margin, Breadcrumbs, among others. She is the co-author of The Book of Common Fallacies (Skyhorse Publishing, 2012).
Genevieve Fernworthy is a theologian, artist, and multi-instrumentalist who performs solo under the moniker LAUDS and with Billy Cancel in the noise-poetry duo Tidal Channel. Her solo musical output is expansive, and she incorporates elements of synthpop, soul, psych, and noise into her instrumental + vocal work. Involved in frequent collaboration with David Lackner (Synthetic Love Dream), Adrian Knight (Blue Jazz TV), Dahm Majuri Cipolla (the Phantom Family Halo), and Celie Dailey (Spewgeyser), she also plays + tours regularly with the Martin Bisi band.Her vocal work can be found on the latest release from Galtta Tapes– “Eulogy” by A Family In Mourning with Lydia Lunch. She launched Hidden House Press in 2008, is an active member (viola) of the PARK Quartet, and is the founding director of the Kings County MicroKORG Choir.
THE AZERBAIJAN A/V CLUB creates “visual jazz”, blending acoustic and electronic instruments, improvised music, and live projections into a dense synaesthetic experience. With a lineup that includes clarinet, percussion, DJ and VJ, the band applies Ornette Coleman’s harmolodic principles to multimedia art, a unique combination of live concert, silent movie, and hypnotic trip.
